The Port Hueneme Police Explorer Post #9988 is made up of exceptional young individuals. These inspiring young adults cultivate a strong awareness of the purpose, mission, and objectives of a career in law enforcement while gaining hands-on training in various aspects of police work. Character development, physical fitness, good citizenship, and patriotism are essential pillars of this transformative program.
The Port Hueneme Police Explorer Post attended the Riverside Explorer Competition. They were joined by 35 other Law Enforcement Agencies from across the state including teams from Shasta County and San Diego County. They competed against each other in various patrol officer related scenarios.
Our Port Hueneme Police Explorers placed 1st in the Team Shooting Competition, 1st place in the team bicycle challenge, 2nd place in the Explorer Top Shot shooting competition, and 2nd place in Emergency Negotiations
